Mary Beth began her career as a clinical and research psychologist, with specializations in stress, trauma, PTSD, and resilience and in child and adolescent psychology. She held research and clinical positions at the Department of Veterans Affairs and its National Centers for PTSD in Honolulu and the Boston VA Medical Center. Mary Beth managed large-scale, grant-funded research programs and has co-authored several academic publications. After leaving the VA, Mary Beth worked in global brand strategy with Fortune 500 clients, based in the U.S. and Hong Kong. She led brand purpose development, oversaw quantitative and qualitative research projects, and designed and led experiential workshops in over 20 cities across five continents. Over the past decade, Mary Beth has designed and delivered corporate leadership training programs and personal development programs for teens and adults, all rooted in mindfulness, emotional intelligence, and neuroscience. She has a longstanding personal mindfulness practice and teaches mindfulness in a variety of settings. Mary Beth studied improve at The Second City and embraces its ‘yes, and’ motto. She lives in Boulder, CO and is an avid hiker and traveler.
