Veterans transitioning to civilian life need support in three critical and often overlooked areas: finding a renewed sense of purpose, mindfulness training to build resilience, and a sense of community. We’re committed to providing all three through our programs and events.

 

 

Current Programs & Initiatives

The Chopra Foundation Partnership

The Chopra Foundation and Veteran’s PATH are partnering to provide one million veterans with access to proven mind-body tools and support via classes, workshops and other programs. Additionally, the partnership will use innovative technologies to provide immediate, confidential 24/7 support – for veterans by veterans – so that all veterans can get the help they need, when they need it. The ultimate goal is to significantly reduce negative outcomes and improve overall resilience, mental health, and well-being for veterans and their families.

Evidence-Based Mindfulness Trainings

As one of our core offerings, we’re partnering with eMindful and Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center to provide free, online mindfulness training for veterans transitioning to civilian life

Telehealth for Veterans

In response to COVID-19, we’re working urgently to create mental health telehealth programs for veterans. We’re currently collaborating with our partners to determine areas of greatest need, develop programming, and ensure it reaches those veterans who need it most.

Heroes for Heroes Initiative

To help address the adverse psychological impact front-line caregivers are experiencing, Veteran’s PATH has partnered with Fidelus Technologies, Cisco Systems, and Ingram Micro to offer New York City hospital caregivers combat veteran-led mindfulness and meditation coaching. Support this important work.

One-Day Pathfinder Events

Our one-day pathfinder events serve as an entry place for new veterans, and as a source of ongoing community and practice for returning participants. Please let us know if you would like to be notified about upcoming events.

Online Anchor Programs

Now fully online, our anchor program combines a 5-day intensive with a 15-week practice period, supporting veterans struggling with reintegration issues that can include post-traumatic stress, military sexual trauma, substance abuse, and family/caregiver matters. We integrate meditation and mindfulness practices into a disciplined, daily routine so that, together, veterans can open up about experiences and heal inner conflicts they never thought possible.

Mindful Littles

We’re offering MYSELF™ (Mindfulness, Yoga, Service, Social-Emotional Learning & Fun), a free program for children of veterans, ages K-5. This 5-week program is fundamentally rooted in the principles of self-compassion and agency. Using methods of purposeful play, movement and mindfulness, we teach our young students the life-long habits of emotional well- being.
